Brewing your own beer at Wiltz Castle
Not everyone can say they have their own kind of beer. At the microbrewery in the vaulted cellars of Wiltz Castle, you can get your hands on the dough - or on the malt and hops, rather - and make your own craft beer, together with your friends, teammates or club members. At the customised seminar, which can accommodate up to 15 people, our brewmaster will teach you the art of brewing in one day. He will not only give you an overview of the different production cycles, but will also assist you in choosing the ingredients and the proportions of the ingredients to achieve a result to your liking. Of course, the approximately 50 litres of beer brewed are included in the price and can be enjoyed afterwards with friends.

Remembrance tourism on the traces of the Battle of the Bulge
During the fighting in December 1944 and January 1945, 80% of the houses in Wiltz were destroyed or damaged and 50 people were killed in the cruel Battle of the Bulge.
It goes without saying that the commemoration of the events and victims of the war has been part of Wiltz, Martyrdom City, ever since. Numerous monuments bear witness to the era at various locations in the town, such as the restored Sherman Tank, the Monument aux Morts or the Strike Monument, the tower that marks the town's skyline.
In the Battle of the Bulge Museum at Wiltz Castle, you can discover scenes from the daily life of American soldiers and Wiltz residents, the moving story of the American St. Nicholas, and much more with the help of uniforms, documents, war material, photos and videos.
At the Schumanns Eck, a few kilometres from Wiltz and not far from the National Liberation Monument, the memorial trail leads us on the trail of the decisive battle between German and American soldiers. With the help of life-size pictures and silhouettes, taken from photographs from the time of the battle, the path tries to recreate the heavy atmosphere that reigned on this battlefield. On site, QR codes provide access to more than one hundred audiovisual testimonies.

A walk to recharge your batteries
A walk with friends is an opportunity to share beautiful moments with others, to enjoy nature and sometimes to surpass yourself. Wiltz is an ideal starting point, whatever your objective. Are you looking for a short walk, followed by a good meal or a drink? Then opt for one of the local signposted trails of around 5 kilometres, or discover the town on the two cultural trails that show you the history and sights of the Capital of the Ardennes.
Looking for a real team challenge? The Charles Mathieu walking trail, named after the former deputy and mayor of the town of Wiltz, takes you through the heart of the Luxembourg Ardennes and leads you over 40 kilometres to Esch-sur-Sûre and Vianden, via the famous "Molberlay", a rocky ridge unique in the country.
Or you can go for a four-day hike along the 80 km "Escapardenne" loop. The route follows the Wiltz valley, passes through the authentic villages of the Oesling, through the dense forests to Clervaux with its medieval castle. A real challenge!
